There were 11 HBP overall by Loyola-Marymount. From the video, it looks like his leg crowds the plate a little bit and he keeps getting hit in the shin.

Doesn’t “beaned” mean specifically hit in the head? He didn’t get “beaned” once, let alone 7 times. Generally speaking a beanball is thrown at the head, I agree. Some do use it interchangeably with a brushback pitch of any kind that hits the batter though.

From wiki...the source of all that is correct on the interwebs "Beanball" is a colloquialism used in baseball, for a ball thrown at an opposing player with the intention of striking them such as to cause harm, often connoting a throw at the player's head (or "bean" in old-fashioned slang). Although there was no reason really to respond after professor OA answered
