If you are too reactionary, baseball is not the game for you. You will pretty much never play a perfect game. This game clearly had its ups and downs. Some obvious observations were that the pitching was choppy and 12 walks is way too many. Defense still isn’t sharp enough, but I think that will improve. No production at all today from our 5, 6, 7, 8 batters.
In the end, this is baseball. You are going to have plenty of games that aren’t super clean. The key is you get timely hits, work out of jams, and be gritty and gutsy in the end. We earned the W and that’s the most important thing today. Rest up and get ready for our game tomorrow.
Anybody have a guess for who will start? I’m guessing Hunter?

I think it's been more or less announced that Hunter is out Sunday.
Should be interesting the next 2 days. Pit hers yet to go are Oakes, Mundt, Ferguson, Talavs, Morrel, Hutch, Hunter, Segura, Holmes and Montgomery. Alot of new faces, really interested to see Holmes and Montgomery.

So Hunter is not ready yet?
I wonder if the grass infield, vs playing on turf, is affecting our infielders. Gotta clean the D up.

Noah Ferguson will be surprised to find that he did not pitch Friday.

We now know that Caraway is likely to be all that he was advertised to be, and then some. We now know that we "May" have a legit Friday night guy on the mound. It would also appear that until the staff proves otherwise, we will need to score at least six runs in a game to feel confident about the outcome. Same as last year.

Anybody have a guess for who will start? I’m guessing Hunter? It's the human condition. We want to see what our boys have. If the first game had been rained out after 3 innings, we still would have analyzed the hell out of those three innings making bold claims about our pitching and hitting. It's natural. Take it all with a grain of salt.
