24 triples!
What the stats comparison screams at me is we faced much better pitching.......not surprising. Pac 12 is a great pitching conference......too bad that's all going away after this season.

It think it shows that UNM plays a lot of games at altitude where offensive stats are inflated. They are basically at the same elevation as Denver.

Remember we came out flat as hell last year and they punched us in the mouth in the first game. I have a feeling we will remember that and tomorrow’s game will go much differently.

Higher than Denver and, usually, hotter than Denver. Also, gravity tends to decrease the closer you get to the equator on a globe. All three help to inflate offenses in ABQ.

But the coriolis effect is great towards the poles, so it's a wash.

The triples likely reflect on the large outfield to compensate for the altitude. The ball may stay in the park, but gap shots have the outfielders running a long way.
