We scored lots of key runs with 2 outs.
who will be the Gretler of 24? The glue guy who is a good player but rises above his talent level when the situation requires. Plays multiple positions and never lets the situation get to him.

I think extending an inning and scoring with two outs is really key to a well-disciplined and mentally strong team. I love seeing it, except in our opponents.

No easy outs with that team, maybe Taylor, but even he had good AB's in the tournament.
For an example see game two against Arkansas, when he walked in the 9th after a long at bat.

Maybe two, I haven't watched the inning lately & my memory isn't what is used to be. However, here's how I remember it. Taylor walk & pinch runner Armstrong with a great bunt on a tough pitch Madrigal ground out, runner to 3rd Grenier with one of the greatest AB's in OSU History...... base hit tying the game. (Plus the missed foul pop up by by 3 Arky players. Larnach with a "laser beam" homer into the LF bullpen to take the lead. The last out of the inning..... I don't remember because I was so happy.

Adley flew out to left field, I believe.

Taylor had a shot down the leftfield line that was just foul and then a second, which was even more foul. Seven-pitch walk. Important, because it put Clayton on. But also important, because it ate up seven crucial pitches against Cronin, softening him up for Grenier and Larnach later. Armstrong bunted a tough pitch after almost popping up the first pitch. Madrigal, who was playing hurt, hit one to the right side to move Clayton over. But Madrigal did eat up six pitches to set the stage for Grenier. Cronin only has five good pitches in the tank. The next four are probably Cronin's worst four pitches on the season. Grenier hit one into the Fayetteville Triangle before punching one through the left side. Arkansas' coach did not buy into shifts and did not shift to allow the grounder into left. (That said, Grenier is so fast that the shift did not work often against him.) Larnach then hit a laser beam into the rightfield bullpen, the Oregon State bullpen. No one was in there. Mully only went down there after Larnach hit the home run into there.

Adley flew out to left field, I believe. Adley flew out to second. Shaddy was so shellshocked after knocking Gates off of Grenier's foul ball and then missing it himself that he almost dropped Adley's infield fly but recovered to make the play. I always thought that it would have been hilarious, if Shaddy had dropped it. He and Cole were both wrecked after that. Cole sat on two strikes after being way out in front of the first strike, setting up the double-play.
