Bobby Witt, a 5-tool shortstop out of Heritage High School in Colleyville, TX. was really the only player mentioned as a possible alternative to Adley at number 1 in the 2019 MLB draft. Baltimore's GM, Mike Elias said the Orioles had serious discussions and considerations about that first pick. At #2, the Kansas City Royals said they would be excited to draft either player. True to their word, Rutschman went 1 and Witt 2 in the draft. Both players have turned out to be everything they were expected to be - impact players and pilloars of bthye franchise..
Last week at age 23, Bobby Witt signed a contract extension with the Royals for 7 years and $288.7 million. With incentives that could push it to $367. 7 million.
Q - With the trend now of small market teams laying out big bucks to retain their key players, anyone want to venture a guess what Adley's next contract will look like?
Q - Anyone here want to be Adley's Agent?
Another Q - With Baltimore transitioning to new ownership, will that have any impact on the organization's future payroll plans?

Having new owners is a great sign, I think the old owner was already laying the groundwork for letting Adley walk.

The Orioles are a team I have followed for a very long time (a family friend pitched for them in the early 1960s) and I would love to see Adley stay an Oriole.
