Great. As if the wolves weren’t already dining on the carcass. 🙄

Their “advice” to the NCAA sounds like Tony Saprano giving advice But... the "rest" don't need to heed or follow. Let those two go off on their own. That's a miniscule amount of inventory. Even if they steal some "wanna bes" like NC, FSU, Clemson the "rest" can be a very competitive and play high quality football. There isn't really 30-60 higher tier teams. The bottom 30 will be fodder for the elite programs. Plenty of TV $ and slots left for a separate group of 40-60. You know, since the rest is so inferior. Plus, agree not to schedule any B10/SEC and they can cannibalize one another. And, there's enough quality teams a NC slots to help lower budget teams.

Honestly man... that doesn't sound like such a bad universe. It sure would make watching (real) college football fun again.

Honestly man... that doesn't sound like such a bad universe. It sure would make watching (real) college football fun again. It was a hurried, poorly worded post... but, there is really no reason for the "bottom" 80-90 P5/G5 teams to follow the lead of the "rich getting richer". Most can't keep up with the Jones'... $, NIL, portal, donor and fan base. Let them go their own way, own rules, playoff, etc. The TV $ may be bigger per team, but with less teams not as much total investment by media entities. Since they can't fill all the inventory slots, there is still money to go around. Let schools decide if they want the big payday to be consistently at the bottom. Or reward players by being a a more competitive situation. When you think of the truly big spending, elite teams how many are there in the B10, B12, SEC, and ACC? I'm not sure there are even 32?? Getting back to a more even playing field, not playing paycheck games to survive might actually revive some fan bases.

Also kick then out of the NCAA hoops tourney...in fact, kick them out of the NCAA. Enjoy your 2 conference circle jerk. Rutgers vs Vandy should be epic. South Carolina at Indiana ahould be a barn burner. I read this was a response to Schultz putting his foot down on CFP. If true that's kinda funny...Pac 2 f%#*ing with whole system. Literally raging against the machine

There are TONS of things in the sports world that would make perfect sense if you were given "God-Like" powers to make everyone adjust. The problem is the entrenched systems, self-preservation, long-standing economics, greed, etc, etc that make so many of these things difficult to impossible to implement.
