Anyone know whether there are any upcoming athletics facilities projects besides the baseball hitting facility? I’d imagine with the uncertainty around the next 2 seasons and beyond, major projects are probably on hold, but I don’t know for sure.

Other than a combination track/softball/soccer locker room complex by their stadiums, which has been proposed, I'm not sure what exactly we need at this point. We don't really "need" it, but a compete redo of Goss Stadium's upper concourse/press box area would be nice.

I agree, but I think they're looking at permanent RF seating that ties into the stadium as the next project. The hole main stadium needs to be redone into a top down loading stadium. The middle concourse is awful and plugged up with people standing right in the middle of it. The concourse also necessitates the walkways to the upper seats of which the railings and fencing screws up the sightlines for many of the seats. It was a poor design that needs to be fixed at some point.

Permanent seats with direct access to stadium means OSU can charge more per seat with more for donation as well. But the stadium needs a rework to improve the ability to move on the concourse and better sight lines. Well maybe Pat Casey can get some of the players from 2018 NC team to make some contributions for the improvement’s.

Is it me or is the building shaped like home plate? And it seems like they are making it so the player can practice hitting oriented exactly as they would be at Goss home plate... depending on interior layout - one would imagine they would want the ball to travel same distance as in a real game? I actually don't know anything about hitting facility design, so fascinating to watch the web cam. Go Beavers!

Hit the parking lot. That should be almost as hard as the field in Arizona
