Really happy for Kelsey Rees, to have played so well with her father in town. Kelsey really had a great weekend. Her defense was solid, and Kelsey made key contributions on offense. Maybe Kelsey will play at OSU next year with her last year of eligibility? I'm not sure why she wouldn't. Although I don't think the players are thrilled about playing in the WCC, I don't get the feeling it's some sort of deal breaker for them. IMO, if this team continues on the upward path it's on right now, there's reason to believe it will be a favorite to win the WCC and very possibly the big favorite. Just beef up the nonconference games (if possible) and the Beavers could be set up to land a decent NCAA seed. Success this season will help enormously if the team stays intact for 2024-25. Gonzaga men show it’s very possible to be a high seed from the WCC. I think the teams’ love of playing with their teammates will keep this thing rolling next year.

One thing I noticed that hasn't been mentioned is how good this team was today at helping out. At least 3 blocks were from backside help. They were able to be there for the primary defender but not expose themselves to their primary assignment. I'd like to point out TVO and Donovyn because they were the most obvious but all of the guards/wings were doing it. Often times against their post players. I first noticed it Friday and today it just blew up. Show the Beavs the ball and they will take it.

18 assists combined from the starting backcourt, and then 5 assists from the backup PG. That will get it done.

Since the previous poster you quoted isn't a player, coach, member of the staff, or not likely a family member... another post of completely made up BS. But, the embedded negativity is his signature. This is the season most every Beaver fan cares about. And you'll see a no one else contaminate it with fabricated doom & gloom. But, as OSU has won there's now a caveat added to the WCC being a deal breaker for some.

If everybody comes back, and I believe they will, so will we who trudge off to Gill twice a week, sell out the preseason banquet in nothing flat, and pack the Toyota Room after the final home game. This team can be a top ten team next year and a 2 or 3 seed at worst, in spite of playing in the WCC. And the attendance numbers will be even higher next year - the magic is back.

Let's finish this season. Tons of ball left. And, with NIL & portal there is no such thing as a "sure thing" in college athletics anymore.

I missed the great game today unfortunately and in looking at the box I was surprised to see Dom only getting 5 min. and Sela only 2 min.---in a blowout like this it seems like coach could have found a few more min. for these 2 important bench players to keep them sharp. I do realize he has a tough job getting everyone deserved PT with so many good players, but in a blowout like this 5 and 2 for those 2 players seems a little low. Also noticed AJ's line: 16 min.--0 pts, 0 assists, 1 reb., and 3 TO's---what happened to her after such a good effort from her in Friday's game?

Oh, I've already said in a previous thread that I'm fairly sure the team will stay intact as it goes into next season. I was pointing out that I don't see why Rees would leave. The WCC is not the same as the Pac-12 is in women's basketball but that doesn't mean playing in it will be a negative for OSU at all. And I agree that OSU can get a good seed (as I said)...especially if the Beavers continue making noise this season. Reputation matters.

Just one of the untrue "non negative" grayman quotes:
"Well, TVO did post "oof" after the news of OSU basketball playing in the WCC came out. While I'm not 100 percent sure that it was what her post was about, there wasn't an explanation one way or another. I think if OSU does not find its way into some sort of "power conference" situation, women's basketball could be the hardest hit among the non-football programs over time as far as not recruiting at the same level as judged by the recruiting "experts."
Always some BS interpretation of what a player(s) think. Then the veiled negatives. Same throughout the the football board.
There are dozens of these posts. Thus one took 15 secs to find. Most are more negative, but became more veiled and tempered as the football program "won" in recruiting, portal, etc. And, if course after big wins by the WBB program.
Gray can't resist stating what others are thinking about conference realignment. And, of course the results on players leaving, recruiting. All while this particular program is 17-3.
So yeah... true!

TVO did, indeed, post "oof" after the WCC news came out. Those who want the Pac-2 to merge with the MWC or play in conferences such as the WCC as permanent members and think it will be just fine or even an improvement in some ways are the ones who are pushing a negative disguised as a positive. Hopefulness is one thing. Wanting less for OSU is another. I would encourage other posters to go through rgeorge's posts and decide for yourselves where he really stands.

And... her "oof" was posted... was that denied? Oh, you know that. Was it interpreted as some WCC "signal"? Yep... only by you. Try changing the goal posts typically not a positive defense 😑 So... "pushing negative disguised as a positive"? Lol WTF... stating there are positive aspects to a negative situation isn't a disguise. It's called illumination of all possibilities. Versus the guy who spouts the negative(s) as the only possibility for the future. We as fans all know sh%t could happen... to our programs, to our lives. But, most also see positives and focus there especially when we have teams being built, and competing in the present. Why constantly integrated your personal negative vibe about a future you have no definitive answer for? By the way it's called "negativity bias", whether tempered or not. PS- luckily Scott learned how to coach offense. Not long ago you seemed very worried he was not so adept in that area!

Rgeorge, I am going to address you one last time. And we've already hijacked this thread, which I don't feel good about Do not respond to me or my posts again and I will do the same regarding you and your posts. And I mean no comments or anything. Let's just agree on this and be done with it.

When you then quoted and were asked, did you then state you can do and post when and where you want? Simple clarification needed... But, I believe I can comment on off base info without quoting. Right?
