The WCC does not sponsor T&F on a conference basis. There is no WCC track meet. That's a real concern for coach Louie, even if you qualify for NCAA regionals by time/distance, not via a conference meet. Athletes still need tangible things to compete for, though, like conference championships, and tangible rewards, like athlete of the week honors. That's one of my biggest concerns with baseball going independent. |
