Memo to Bill Walton:
Portland, OR Coast Range to the West. Cascades to the East. Willamette River running through middle of town. Yes. Portland is in the Willamette Valley. Always has been. Always will be.
Didn't he used to live around here?

Really glad I went to that game. Sat right behind the UA bench watching Tommy Lloyd melt down as we're drilling threes was epic.
Great atmosphere last night, not the biggest crowd, but they go into it.
UA has to have the biggest assistant coach that I've ever seen. Przemek Karnowski that played at Gonzaga a few years back. That dude is huge.

I admit that I'm not entirely up to speed on the message board lately. Are we still The Orange Depressed? Are we still in the process of replacing the coach? Is it OK to be very excited about this win or am I supposed to temper my enthusiasm by predicting a loss in the very near future? Have to beat ASU decisively. Don't blow the wad on celebrating at the Top of the Cock Friday night.

EU shoe measurements, not that he’s got the grandfather of all clown feet. on the crowd getting into it, it was great on TV as well. When the crowd started yelling O-VER-RA-TED while 8-10 points down I had to comment to my wife “I’m not sure that’s the thing to be yelling right now”.

The overrated chant was directed at Love, which didn't make sense because he was playing well.

Walton was great, he more than gave us our due.
"That's why we play, that's why we watch, that's why we're alive. Because you never know what can happen." Great commentary.
He doesn't care who wins. He just loves basketball. And he absolutely loves Gill Coliseum. I'll miss him.

I looked at the box score this morning and saw some interesting things.
Beavs made 12 three pointers, zona made 3 Beavs shot 7 fewer free throws Beavs attempted 5 fewer shots Beavs got out rebounded by 5 (both teams were even in D rebounds)
Turnovers were almost even, Oregon state had 1 more
Players not named Pope, Bilodeau, Rataj were 6/15 from the field and 4/7 from the stripe.
I’ve been saying all year, we need 3 guys to be the scorers…….and everyone else needs to do what it takes to those guys in the best spot to get buckets.
Beavs played right on the razors edge for the margin of error to pull off a win. The were 1 more mistake away from losing (a game everyone thought they’d lose)
We got 30 points worth of 2 pt shots…….arizona got 50 points worth of 2 pt shots…….winning a game with that distribution has to be almost impossible.
Let’s hit them Sun Devils

If Jordan Pope finishes his career at OSU and doesn’t take the money (portal) and run his statue might have to go next to Dame’s

Tres Tinkle set the all-time scoring record with two games left to play (would have been at least three, if not for COVID-19). Beavs made 8 three pointers, Stanford made 3 Beavs shot 8 more free throws Beavs attempted 8 fewer shots Beavs outrebounded Stanford by 1 (Beavs had three more D rebounds than Stanford) Turnovers were almost even, Oregon state had 3 more Players not named Tinkle, Thompson, Kelley were 5/13 from the field and 8/10 from the stripe. We got 26 points worth of 2 pt shots…….Stanford got 44 points worth of 2 pt shots. Beat Cal the next day and beat Utah in Vegas before COVID-19 shut everything down.
