Forgot about that. I just looked them up. Ben Kone is on their roster. Didn’t he play here like 10 years ago? Also, don’t think GP would be the best choice. I believe that Lincoln University is a small college completely outside of the NAIA and NCAA systems. I am not sure that any NCAA rules that we are generally accustomed to apply to them whatsoever. I believe that Ben Koné played for Lincoln two years ago. I believe that his last year at Oregon was 2018. He then transferred to Tennessee State for a year. Yeah, it looks like it was kind of a start up program. I can’t even find a schedule for them this year. Julian Payton and Lillard’s brother also played there. |

GP has head coach is the one person who could turn things around at OSU. Think about it. GP is the equivalent of CJS, Rueck and Canham at the helm of MBB. You'd be making a mistake. Someday, I hope GP proves you both wrong.

Someday, I hope GP proves you both wrong. What’s the one difference between GP and the others you mentioned? Oh yeah, they all had years of coaching experience. Also, does GP have his degree? I had 1 class with him and he showed up the first day and I never saw him again. Coincidentally, he “aced” that class. |

Ben McCollum , ME Missouri State. 4 d2 national championships in last 5 years. They are 334-83 in his tenure, 131-8 over last 4 years. His offense has been called ridiculously efficient and aesthetically pleasing, that’s all I need to hear. Got to move quick, on everyone’s short list He’d be good. Another guy I like is Southern Utah’s former HC Todd Simon. Unfortunately after turning that program around he was hired by Bowling Green this year. Has them 14-4 (5-1). Not sure he’d move again so quickly, but someone to keep an eye on in another year or two when Tinkle more likely to be fired. I’d guess he’s making less than $750k. The idea that some people throw around on here that no qualified candidates would be interested is a joke. There would be plenty. |
