Packers head to San Francisco to play the Niners next week. Hopefully, the Packers win into the NFC Championship Game. Hopefully, the Lions and Eagles win. At this point, I am rooting for the Packers to play in the Super Bowl, the least annoying team of the six teams left in the NFC. Go Niners!

Any day the Cowboys lose is a good day. #America'sTeamWhat? Since the '95 SB... Cowboys are 5-13 in the playoffs. They have sort of this modern false mystic... similar to (just worse) the Yanks. No AL title or WS since 2009

Any day the Cowboys lose is a good day. #America'sTeamWhat? "America's Team." Has there ever been a more arrogant tagline in the history of American sport?

Jerry needs to get rid of that GM who has been holding the Cowboys back all these years. IMHO Jerry is that rich guy, who because he amassed wealth, thinks he can do anything. He studied under Jimmy Johnson for said years and was like, 'he'll, I can do this.' Puke, now that's a funny word.

Any day the Cowboys lose is a good day. #America'sTeamWhat? "America's Team." Has there ever been a more arrogant tagline in the history of American sport? NFL Films came up with the tagline. The Cowboys just ran with it. To be fair, too, the Cowboys had just completed year 13 of what would become a 20-year winning season streak. The Cowboys played in 12 League/Conference Championships in that 20-year span. At the time the team was owned by Clint Murchison Jr., who served as a Marine in World War II. The GM was Tex Schramm, who was in the Army Air Force in World War II. The team was coached by Lieutenant Tom Landry, an All-American hero, who flew 30 missions over Germany during World War II and survived a crash-landing in Belgium. For almost the entire 1970s, the team was quarterbacked by a second All-American hero in Lieutenant Roger Staubach, who declined the offer to remain in the United States and instead volunteered to serve for two years in South Vietnam and a second two years stateside before joining the Cowboys. And that was all in the time of worsening Communist revolutions in Afghanistan, Iran, and Nicaragua, a Vietnamese invasion of Cambodia, and a worsening economic situation at home. I totally get the Cowboys being tagged as "America's Team" at the time. But the idea that the moniker would stick after Jerry Jones purchased the team and fired Landry and Schramm quit in protest........... The Cowboys stopped being "America's Team" in the late 80s.

I loved those teams. Plus was fortunate to hang out at 3 pre-spring training camps on the late 80's, early 90's.
