Fair enough. Maybe somebody did. That's what I get for making an absolute statement. In any case, I don't believe the vast majority of posters here thought that she was going to be nothing but a practice player. On a side note, Stanford lost today. Assuming they beat the Ducks on Friday, they go for the outright record for Tara against us next Sunday. Let’s rain on her f-ing parade.

I know we're all aware of Paurova by now as far as being impressed with how quick she is, etc. Someone noted her defense against UA and she had another good outing today. I expect to see her quite a bit this season and if she can add some consistency to her offense (maybe just a tad more confidence in her midrange game and perimeter shooting would make a big difference) I believe she has a pretty high ceiling.

Even in the tough losses, this team is so incredibly much better than the last couple of years. The PGs are obviously a step up, but I give a whole lot of credit to Aleah. Go Beavers.

So many people here were so wrong about her. And the point of this comment? She's a pleasant surprise. Nobody on this board was having big arguments about how much playing time she was going to get or anything. As I remember there was some talk about how much it was a wasted scholarship and that Scott had no idea what he was doing. Beavdowg: This is just another Rueck project that won't amount to anything other than taking a scholly away from a more talented player that can actually help us. Sorry, but not gonna help the team. More of the same...

The only concern I remember about Heidi was whether she would stay healthy with her history of knee dislocations limiting her playing time to a dozen games over three years. Her abilities were never in question.....by anyone who knew what they were talking about.

25 assists for the Beavs. You're gonna win a lot of games with that kind of number. 'Specially if the other team only has 5.

In the after game interview with Ron, Scott mentioned how Talia has learned what she can and can't do in conference play (although she still likes to try new things). Now he sees that Dom is doing the same kind of trial and error/success.
Solid roster, all are playing for each other that in itself is a great thing to have.
GO BEAVS!

So many great observations from today's game. My favorite was OSU WBB did what they should have done vs an inferior team--they buried ASU. That is a measure of a very good team. My next favorite observation was directed to Aleah Goodman. Our PG play has been nothing short of a miracle. Our two freshman PGs are playing like junior/seniors--no doubt learning from the best PG OSU has had in last 10 seasons.
Give our coaches credit. They are getting a lot of minutes for a lot of players on our team, and that experience is going to pay dividends as we approach the PAC-12 Tournament and NCAA Tournament. I see nothing but upside for this team. They are getting better every game. GO BEAVS!

Not saying you're wrong, only that I disagree.

Whatever. All I know was that I was thrilled to see Sela have such a great game, and I'm hoping for more of the same, just like most of you.
GO BEAVS!

Watching the replay right now. That Paurova is a baller! She is disruptive on D, and she can get to the hoop.

Nobody said she was going to only be a practice player. Not quite true. From jimbob: “That's funny George---"5th option inside/14th schollie"---she sounds like a practice player and maybe a token 1-2 min.” I don’t really think this game tells us much about her, but it was nice to see her play well. Dammit beaverwbb---I was hoping no-one remembered me making that comment! It actually was just an off the cuff response to rgeorge's comment about her being "5th option inside/14th schollie" and I did say "it was nice to see her play well" in the same comment. So my apologies to Sela for that comment and I'm happy she has proven me wrong! And in subsequent threads I have been complimentary in my comments about her especially on her good hands and ability to put the ball in the basket consistently when she gets it down low.

Post game presser. Will someone please turn up the mic volume so we can actually hear the questions? ? I put my computer speakers and sound at maximum volume and I still have a hard time hearing and understanding the questions. Producer/director and sound folks need to get more professional.
