This late in the process is way worse than JS leaving OSU. What is the whole portal time frame now? When doe it close?
I am sure some real gems will be available from Washington. Are we done yet? Are there some opportunities here for us?
And one thing I heard that following DeBoer agreeing to coach Alabama in early afternoon, the UW called a players' meeting. One father posted that roughly only 25 percent of the team attended it. What does that say?
They have no real starting QB now after Will Rogers went back in the portal last night. As someone said in another article it use to be that when things like this happened you had a month or so to get a coach in place. Now days you better have someone in place within days or within a week due to the portal.
I am thinking we survived better than others with all things considered. Imagine if JS left next week for Washington instead of earlier to MSU. At least there was some time. Washington is in a world of hurt. Sucks to be them.

After their role in all that's transpired the last several months, it couldn't happen to a more deserving program.

When a coach leaves, the portal opens up for that team for 30 days. With the coaching carousel getting ramped up, there’s going to be a lot more available transfers.

It's not apples to apples. U dub just played in the National championship game, and have a home in the B1G moving forward......their coach got poached for the biggest job in college football. He who shall not be named left his alma mater in our most desperate hour, for a middle of the pack B1G school, with unrealistic expectations. Yes, this is tough for u dub, but it's a desirable job, with a home in a big time football conference. Personally, I'd prefer to be in their position, over ours.

There is also rumblings that several influential Tyee members are hesitant to jump back in aggressively because they sense they're throwing good money after bad. It is rich to watch Washington 'discover' that loyalty, greed and uncertainty are having a negative impact on college football. They were a key driver in leading to our issues and gave zero F's. I think their situation is much more precarious than it seems on the surface. Sure, they have the conference affiliation and future distributions, but that comes with increased expenses and potentially fielding fundamentally uncompetitive teams for the near future. Hate to say it, but Oregon's situation is a much more tenable for the move than any of the four, and for UCLA and Washington it could be REALLY bad. Careful what you wish for...

A drop in attendance coupled with an extra $10 million in stadium debt service, inflated travel costs and a 1/2 GOR share is not be a good combination. Not a shred of sympathy for anyone who had a hand in breaking up the Pac-12.

It'd be great if they don't have the money to compete at a high level in the B1G. I guess we'll see.

It was always going to be like that. Oh well.

Much prefer them focusing on 4 and 5 star guys and leaving our recruits alone.

Personally, I hope that Oregon State and Wazzu beat Oregon and Washington, respectively, and that both Oregon and Washington roll through the Big Ten. Oregon and Washington suck. The other members of the Big Ten, especially UCLA and USC, suck worse.

With a coaching change they will lose more and I'm guessing gain back less than they lose. I see a rough season ahead for them.

Trips to New Jersey, Iowa, Indiana, and Pennsylvania should also be humorous.
