Travis Wittlake is a class individual. He went out of his way to help my Great Nephew develop as a wrestler. Always willing to help young guys.

Idaho, thank you for posting this. Is there anyway this thread could be pinned across all the different boards? I know there was a thread for the PSU dual that was shared that way.
Prayers with Travis and I hope Beaver Nation and the greater wrestling community can continue to rally behind him.

man what terrible news... and having a kid who constantly tinkers underneath of his 4-runner that just put my stomach into a knot.

As a public service announcement:
NEVER get underneath a vehicle without a jack stand(s) solidly in place.
Hoping for a good recovery.

Thank you all for donating... It has indeed been a rough week for Beaver wrestling. Some good news... Travis is in good spirits and doing well. Also, the Go Fund me is over 71k now. Way to go!!! I was also impressed by the names of those how have donated - Gable Steveson, Keegan O'Toole, Marcus Coleman...many wrestlers. One that really stood out was the Staroccis... 4 days after Carter wrestles Travis, they are donating to his cause. Keep up the good work fans.

Considering the bind that OSU was put in through no fault of its own, perhaps there can be an appeal to the NCAA of the rule that allows you two years to re-constitute a conference. Could it be extended to three years or four?

Recent update about Travis from the Go Fund Me:
Just wanted to update everyone regarding Travis. He is back home with his family and beginning the long road to recovery. The first couple of nights were filled with quite a bit of pain and discomfort but it sounds like the Doctors have helped him get that under control. He has to stay pretty still while both his leg and back heal. He has a follow up in about 2-3 weeks with his surgeon to check on how his bones are healing. The Wittlake Family is SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has contributed to this fund and left notes, as well as, all of you who have reached out with words of encouragement and support. Keep Travis in your prayers as the long road to recovery is underway! Thank you!

And it is also amazing to see the support for him.

Yeah - Totally agree kosherbeaver ... When you look at the names that have donated you see kids competing right now like Keegan O'toole... you see former wrestlers....OSU wrestlers... Ok State wrestlers as well as Media people like Willie. Great outpouring of support for their family. No better sport exemplifies support and family like wrestling. Amazing that on one day you are beating each other up then the next day you can text. Also cool to see the Starocci family on the list just after Carter beat him. Good job wrestling supporters!
