Another Caddyshack antidote.
My friends and I used to raft the Deschutes every summer...we'd borrow or rent gear from OSU.
Our last excursion the captain tried to talk us into going over Shearers falls after a day full of Hamms and other at the time illegal sunstances. I was just sober enough say f%#* no...as was one other.
However, Captain talked one poor soldier into risking his life. And so they went with life vests and intertubes around their waists. The raft got stuck in the bottom of the falls but they had been evicted as soon as they hit the falls, and they were sent intertube rolling about 100 yards downstream.
Fast forward 30 minutes...Shearers Falls is on Reservation Land and as we were trying to dislodge the raft out of the falls, a reservation cop showed up and arrested us...and also confiscate our gear.
So good times went sideways real fast. As we're all sitting in the back of the truck, the cop is taking our names and doing his cop thing. Then he starts interrogating poor soldier, and when asked his name and address, tells the cop, without so much as a smirk...
