I'm there for certain. May not end like we want it, but love the fact we are bringing in the #1 team in the country. An upset here or there moves us up in the rankings and also improves our seed (sans a meltdown later in the season) for NCAA tournament.

Where are we thinking the upset opportunities are or the wins? Super tough line up from PSU.
I feel confident in 184, I know Truax is no light matter but believe this will be a special year for Trey, followed by maybe 165, 125 or 149 with Van Ness out. 133, I haven’t seen much of Naggao for PSU so don’t know what to think, maybe there is a shot with Wisenhunt.
I think 157, 174, 197 or 285 will be a long shot for an upset.

Gabe will have to beat Nagao on his feet - Nagao is one of the best in the country on top. Gabe has shown he can takedown anyone including RBY.

Watching Gabe and the other younger wrestlers begin to break through this year has been really fun. Speaks volumes to Oregon HS wrestling the past few years. Gabe, Nash and Justin have all really stepped up this year. I also have really enjoyed watching Menke wrestle this year. Not sure if he or Crosby will get the nod vs PSU. Noah T as well, I assume the injury from early this season is playing a role. |
