Looks like Jaylyn Sherrod won the award this week.

No respect for beavers or beers. We arent rated ( after thought beavers) nor beers who for two years has been spanking teams with double doubles at record pace!

Sherrod (34 points) clearly had a better game in a #8 vs #12 matchup. Even with orange-tinted glasses we can acknowledge that. Raegan was Pac-12 Freshman of the Year and 6th Player of the Year last season. She's got plenty of respect. And she'll have plenty of opportunities ahead to showcase her game - this weekend for example. (P.S. you could show Raegan some respect by at least capitalizing her surname).

No doubt about it, this weekend OSU wbb (Beers et al.) will have as good an opportunity to prove themselves as a skilled, strong team as they ever could in a span of just 2 games within just a 3 day time period. Imagine if by some mysterious force OSU pulled off 2 extreme upsets this weekend. Why, they could go from unranked to top 5 in the country. Certainly unlikely or improbable given the greater athleticism of USC and UCLA but hey, one can at least dream until proven otherwise.

She is only a freshman so we need to rattle her in some way. They have a good post who has had success against us. Thats orobably where that game comes down to. If the inside player forces beer to get fouls. Everyone will circle beers every game. Others need to step up. But talia can be a liability if she trys to take over with USC speed. Defense will win this game! Watch for the refs to “allow” USC to exploit there speed as really good defence when its really over eggression.

Sadly very dissappointed in the 2 losses, especially the very close 2 loss to USC. Can the team please make just 1 more 3 point basket next time? This is what happened last year with so many close losses..grrrrrrrrrrrrrr...very frustrating.

Its Beers problem to figure out. Cant sit tour vest player on the bench at crunch time.

Easy to explain USC loss. Not stopping juju and coach not playing beers no matter what. Its Beers problem to figure out. Cant sit tour vest player on the bench at crunch time. There are a lot of explanations on why that game was lost, but stopping Juju wouldn't be the top reason. Juju is shooing .445 on the season, which is solid, not spectacular for a guard, but she shot .333 against the Beavs. It took her 33 shots to get her points against the Beavs. Somebody must have been stopping her, or she just plain had a bad night. More than anything else, I would blame that loss on first road game jitters. Beavs were as cold as ice shooting. I'm sure the USC defense played a role, but the Beavs couldn't find the basket. As far as one player carrying them, yes Juju puts up the big points, but Marshall and Foster both average over 13 points per game. The Beavs don't have that. this was the Beavs first game on the road, against a good team, and still had a shot to tie or win in the end, but they came up short. That was a problem for the Beavs last year, as they lost a lot of close games. I have a feeling, and it will be interesting to see if that 'feeling' holds up, but I think the Beavs are going to win a lot of close games this year. We may find out Friday. Arizona had two close games last week, winning one and losing one.

Arizona had two close games last week, winning one and losing one. Yes... this^^ Someone earlier posted that OSU had a trio that matched anyone in the Pac12. Well, maybe in potential, but in conference stats (as those are the most relevant for like competition) I want to see if it becomes so, as right now it is not. Right now OSU's trio probably isn't in the top 5 in many stat categories. There are several teams with better scoring trios (even 4+ in the OSU trio range) and rebounding. As the competition level jumped so have the turnovers and the shooting % down. Bottom line OSU needs a trio of dependable scorers ( the stat I'm most worried about). Right now OSU has (4) scorers in the top 50 in Pac12 play: Beers (18.0 / t5th) TVO (11.7 / 22nd) Hunter (7.3 / t42nd) Timea (7.0 / 48th) 44.0 pts... team only at 53.7pts/g Need more than 9 points from the "others" Several teams have better offensive stats and trios right now (I think Furd has 6 in the Top 50), but the key for OSU is more from Timea and the "others" not listed. *Pac12 stats are very incomplete and messed up at this time... has some teams still having played only 2 games in Pac12 play?? ASU is the time to get on track. They have played a tough schedule... Zona, Utah, Colorado... have shot it very poorly and doesn't play great D. Opponents and they are just not there yet talent wise. This game should be similar to Oregon. It'll be interesting to see the Oregon ASU result.

To much micro managrment to thst. Beers needs time on the court to figure it out. My guess your best players always take over games at the end thats why they are the best!
