I appreciate UW earning the Pac-2 a little bit more money as a parting gift.
Thanks.

The clock was plain questionable the last 1:09.
Turn hand off twice... run for 5 yds... tackled... timeouts called...
And only 7 seconds TOTAL ran off the click.
No way two deep handoffs, runners struggling during tackles, and it takes 7 seconds.

If that wasn't a recatch/bobble to secure a pass & OB? The rule states no movement... ball or hands off ball.

Why not kneel on the goddamn ball? ? WTF? What am I missing? At that point, they weren't playing to punt. They were playing to at least try to get the first down and win the game. You don't plan on your player going down with an injury, but take a knee on 3rd down and guarantee Texas gets the ball back instead of at least attempting to get the first down? They weren’t TRYING to get a first down. Simply running the clock down BEFORE they punted.

I swear I’ve seen the game and play clock stop for an injury then be restarted by the ref. Instead the play clock was reset to 25 seconds and game clock started at snap. Am I crazy? Game clock could have been down under 20 seconds on 4th down. Wondering that also. And then I didnt understand the punt. Obvious screw up by the snapper on coverage but why didnt they punt away and let the ball bounce and roll? Washington played so well and then it is like they thought they had it won and turned off their brains. Cardiac Dawgs. This team always plays to competition. In the last ten games, the biggest rout was Washington's 52-42 win over USC. And the game was tied at 42 with 13 minutes left and a three-point game until less than three minutes left. Exactly why it has been so difficult for the Pac-12 to produce a champion. Everyone can beat everyone else pretty much every week. Washington plays like they still have PTSD surviving the 10-game Pac-12 slate.

You know what's great about the pups winning? The duckies and Phil can't stand it.

But yes, UW plays at the level of their competition, and other than a cinderella story type season, and the press fawning over their 21 straight wins, they are good - not great.
Great is the 49ers of the '90s, where the point spread against almost any NFL team was 20+ points with Montana at the helm - and they still covered. UW has been the cardiac kids all season. Who knows if we could have been their lone loss, if our Judas coach had his full attention on the game? Other than the money earned into the PAC coffers, still hoping for a face plant against hardballs and the Spartans next week.

Washington is playing stupid. Run the clock. The dumbest play call in that game was the pass play called on 3rd down before the FG to go up by 9. Run the ball and kick FG: Huskies up by 2 scores (9) and Texas has 2:40 and ONE timeout. Complete the pass for a TD: Huskies up by 2 scores (13) and Texas has 2:40 and TWO timeouts. Throw incomplete pass and kick a FG: Huskies up by 2 scores (13) and Texas has 2:40 and TWO timeouts. One of these scenarios is clearly superior to the other 2. At that point in the game, 40 seconds is worth more than 4 points. Really bad coaching by UW, there. They could have victory formationed it after the onside kick.

Something doesn't look right about that As another poster already eluded to, the record is misleading. When looking at the scores of those games, and the competition, they have been insanely lucky. Even one of our family friends who bleeds purple, said they should have lost to ASU at home in Seattle this year. They have some really good pieces, just not sold on the overall package.
