This is why I think Lucas is above $100k. 1) I read an interview with him where he was saying he was getting paid at OSU but getting "way" more at Nevada. In full disclosure, the "way" is from my memory. I think that is the quote. 2) I just read an article about Nevada sports. They are having internal discussions that they have put too much NIL money into basketball and not enough into football. 3) I think Tres Tinkle and the Thompson brothers play in Italy. Per this guy's website { basketballfandom.com/how-much-to-pro-basketball-players-make-in-europe/#:~:text=Italy%20In%20Italy%2C%20professional%20basketball%20players%20earn%20an,Italy%20can%20earn%20up%20to%20%E2%82%AC150%2C000%20per%20year.} the average salary is $55k to $77k. A different website says these numbers - $180K - $350K europrobasket.com/overseas-basketball-salaries/ On top of that is housing, a car, insurance, travel and so on. I had a friend that played in Europe and she said there were jobs offered and appearance money for events that were available. I'm thinking Nevada had to at least match that for Lucas to stay for his fifth year.

From an article I just read, that was quite non-specific when it came to dollar amounts: Nevada’s collective is called “Friends of the Pack.” “We all get our fair share of money,” Lucas says. “I will say this: I’m making a lot more money at Nevada than I was at Oregon State.” It's a long article, quotes Barnes, Lucas and Pivec. www.kerryeggers.com/stories/the-abcs-of-nil-and-its-effect-on-college-sports-today

OSU's NIL organizations were in there infancy. I am pretty sure one was only in "the mind's eye". And, the little amount of funds were almost all for football. But, even the big time schools the individual dollar amounts vary. The 1000 NIL deals for $2.98 mil at tOSU... about $3k each. The big dollars are reserved for the very few. With some of the largest complete scams & fabrications (see U of Miami). So if Jarod made $20k at Nevada is probably 10x the NIL money he got at OSU. But, not sure if Nevada gives the academic stipend (or if Jared got it here?), they aren't allowed to give the P5 athletic stipend (I think?).
