Great conference for men's and women's soccer.

Gymnastics can go independent pretty easily (most likely would be able to schedule a bunch of ex-Pac-12 teams and Denver) and wrestling probably can as well. Though both would probably be better off if they were able to compete as Big 12 affiliates. Like the WCC for pretty much every other sport. Interesting that the Pac-2 is going this route. IMO it's another good indicator that a merger with the MWC is not at the top of the list for the two schools.

I think this is a great conference for everything BUT football. We’ll be ahead of the game facility wise. Geographically, it’s a no brainer.

It is not in a sport that Oregon State is joining, but one of Oregon State football's biggest wins of the first half of last century was a 10-0 win against Loyola Marymount (known as St. Vincent's at the time) on Thanksgiving Day to cap off Oregon State's last ever undefeated and untied season. Oregon State basketball has played Loyola Marymount five times and has gone to the Tournament after four of those meetings. The 117-113 loss to Loyola Marymount is still the highest-scoring game in Beaver history.

Not T&F. The WCC does not officially sponsor T&F, there is no conference meet. This is a serious concern for our program.

I think T&F (along with CC) is kind of like wrestling. The conference is only for the conference meet. And the good thing is there is less ego for T&F along with wrestling so OSU and WSU could actually add to the B12 meet. We might have a chance to win the BigWest. I'm not sure about the Mountain West. The high elevation schools have some distance programs (UNM is a powerhouse) but I cant think of any field events from any of those schools.
Wrestling should be in the B12.
I was very surprised to read the BigWest said no to baseball. Presidents wanted it but coaches and AD's said no? The coaches don't want their players to compete against high level teams? I don't think we are getting the entire story. I'm guessing for a bit of money UCIrvine, Fullerton, UCSanDiego etc will jump at that chance to travel once to the Northwest.

Athletes earn no individual awards, which are nice. There are no coach of the year, etc., awards. There is no championship to strive for. Maybe not being in a conference won't impact your chance to qualify for the NCAA meet, but there are many, many positives to being in a conference as opposed to being independent.
