I think this young man is going to be special. Definitely under the radar, but he us an athlete with all the tools. Welcome Kallen!

Heck yes. I only watched the one game, but I was very impressed. I was actually stunned by his lack of offers. After reading every item I could find and talking to a couple of people I understood a lot more. I give this guy a very high ceiling.
Edit: I thought the basketball offers to Air Force or North Dakota might deter him from football. Ranching family so I could easily see him going to either place, plus he could get more BB offers with a very good, senior season.

Good signing ... but yes, we need a portal QB to get us through the next year or preferably two.

His number #1 WR target is Mark Weipert who is an OSU Baseball C Commit and one of the state's best coming out next year. Mark's younger brother is one to watch too.

Hmmm, a 6'3" left-handed quarterback who runs and throws well, wears number 11, and plays point guard. Reminds me of someone.

I had the same thought after I saw his jersey number. Baker liked baseball too and had to be talked into playing football for us. Guttridge was "Cool" on us for football according to 247.

Thatd because he just got offered. It takes them awhile for them to update them especially this time of year and they’re not very reliable with those.

The thing I like about this kid is he’s looking to throw first and is very accurate. Has the legs to make you respect them but he won’t have many run plays called for him at the next level. Get him in the weight room and he could be good. Pretty high ceiling. Doesn’t have great arm strength but it’s decent and will get stronger.

Kid must be one of the most slept on players in the country. Fantastic compact mechanics, live arm (65+ in the air), elusive, throws with touch, wins, knows how to be the guy, always looking for the throw even though he can scamper. Get 15-20 lbs on him and he's got a serious shot at starting at some point.

Whoever designed that offense deserves props for taking advantage of his abilities. Can make all the throws and throws the fade with great touch. Plays with great rhythm, both passing and running.
But can that transition to a game that is played at a much higher speed? He looks like a man among boys in those videos. The refs can outrun some of those kids he is playing against. Our game is going to have to really slow down for him and it may take awhile. If it does, I agree with the poster who said he could start at some point. He has the natural talent.

I only saw Kallen play once, in the 5A title game, and I only watched bits and pieces of the game, but on one series he threw some impressive balls and made things happen with a couple of great runs. I hadn’t heard of him, but my son-in-law, who coaches at the same level, and I both commented on his athleticism and arm. Could be a real steal, which is the word on Dex Foster and Malachi Durant as well. For most of the last 25 years, we have brought in countless kids who fit that profile, coached them up and watched them blossom into college studs and many times into NFL players. I’m excited about Kallen’s potential. Seems like a lot of good college and pro QBs were star hoops kids before focusing in on one sport.
