Anybody Else Notice an Uptick in Recruiting?

I don't think we can afford to just stand pat with the guys returning.   If you look at the room's productivity for 2023 we have:   Bolden and Gould (gone) 700+ yds, Velling (gone) 400+ yds, Irish (gone) 200+ yds.   After that we had Valsin, Noga, and Munyagi all in the 100+ range and all had single digit catches total over 12 games.   That, in spite of the fact that there was a deliberate attempt to push the ball downfield vertically with a big armed QB who could throw it anywhere on the field.  There was plenty of opportunity for a talented WR to emerge.  It didn't take Velling long to show what he could do in 2022. 

I'm not suggesting the 3 100 yd guys are terrible.  I just think we need better if we're going to have any kind of serious threat in the passing game next year.  I was disappointed in our productivity through the air as a whole this past year.   I think we need to bring in 2 WR through the portal.  Then lets let the cream rise to the top.   If it turns out we already have a WR or two among our freshman group who turn out to be better than the portal guys, great.
