Looks like we just offered him yesterday. Late offer; may mean our HS QB recruiting hasn't exactly caught fire. Like the guy's skills. Just don't know how they would translate to this level. He prefers basketball, but I think he should be a football player. Lol. He is one of those multi- sport guys who doesn’t spend time going to all the camps plus his improvement this year surprised the people with whom I have talked with. I really like this offer.

When you’re an in-state kid, currently without other D1 offers, and your in-state college team that has been a top 20 program for the last two years in a row, that speaks volumes to what Bray and his staff are contending with after all of the garbage that has been outside of our control off the field for the past year. |

Maybe he grew up loving the Ducks, and is, therefore, not too enthralled with us. Or perhaps he's getting bad advice, and being told other D1 offers will come pouring in now. Who knows? I'm not going to get too excited about offers or commits anymore. Show me a signed LOI and I'll take at least a momentary interest in a kid.

Or, it might actually be true that prospects are a bit hesitant given the uncertainty that we have faced. We don’t know. Not meant as a “Debbie Downer” lament, but our situation is not all sunshine and unicorns. From my perspective, I’ve seen a few people on here questioning if Bray was “the right guy”, but I think that he’s the perfect guy at this time, and I’m excited about him. I just think that skeptics - really even all of us who are optimistic - need to keep in mind what he is up against, and the work that he’s doing in such a short time. |

He does prefer basketball, and he has D-1 basketball offers. I don’t think the “cool” item on his school preference is reflective of an attitude towards Oregon State as it is the sport preference. If Tinkle offered, and I have no clue if he is even on the Beaver basketball radar, he might be more receptive.

People are reading way to much into that. There is almost no info on him, he was probably barely rated as the offer came in. He is an under the radar guy, that was looking to go to small school basketball (western Oregon offered him in Bball) until he really exploded this last year in football. He is a solid HS developmental prospect. Not a guy you project to come in and play as a freshman, but he has a good arm, good height, moves well. He could turn into something. This is a fill out the class offer. |
