I remember in the VERY EARLY 70s, in the regrettable Fertig era, running back James Fields sang the anthem before our game with, I think Syracuse It’s possible we even won the game. I’m sure others here were there. Parker Stadium.

I’m sure others here were there. Parker Stadium. The 1977 season-opener was against Cuse, a 24-12 win. That 1977 season was crazy. Oregon State played the fifth-hardest schedule in Division One. Nine of the Beavs' opponents had winning records and the two with losing records were Oregon and Tennessee, and Oregon State played both on the road. |
