This whole situation seems like BS to me. The pacers lost by 14 a final score of 140 to 126. The whole crowd and announcers were making a huge deal about giannis scoring a career and franchise record in points. So the losing team takes the game ball and gives it to a rookie who scores his first NBA regular season points.....
The game balls usually goto the winning team and they're most inspirational player normally right? Wtf were the pacers doing with that ball in the first place.
I think professional athletes just like cops, professional fighters, and anyone with training to kill people should all be held to a higher standard. That said when you f*ck around you're gonna find out, and that's what the pacers were doing imo.

I get why'd you want to ask for it, but it seems to me that asking for it is the move, not just taking it.

Including a skirmish where Giannis was thrown down, and Bobby Portis Jr. got ejected. Pacers may just wanted to show pettiness in retaliation.
