2 players had enough yellow cards build up over the course of the season that they should have missed the quarterfinals game. Dashel reporting no forfeit but some punishment forthcoming. Beavers sports are jinxed

I just don't understand how this could happen. Isn't it obvious that he shouldn't have been allowed to play. Doesn't the NCAA say something before the game? Or is it entirely on our coach?
Biggest game in our soccer history and probably his as a coach and now he's suspended.

In many competitions if you reach a certain point in the season, all previous yellow cards are rescinded, and you have a clean slate. Not sure what the NCAA policy is.
At least they didn't make us forfeit kick us out of the tournament, which the NCAA of old would have done. Next man up.

In the past, if you got five yellow cards in a season, you sat out a game. They were rescinded once the regular season ended, and you began NCAAs with zero. That's why (for example) Chelsea Buckman sat out the final game of a season one year when she played for the women's team and they were going to the NCAAs.
Perhaps the rules have changed and somebody didn't know it. Mistakes like this are made because people are human and make mistakes.
And Armas was ineligible, not illegal.

Already had to deal with this kind of s%#t in baseball back in 2017, and I'll even throw in the 2013 Winterhawks. Fun seasons derailed. o deserves this more than OSU, let it happen to them.
