Ibekwe assist to Ibekwe for 2. Lucked out on that one, probably not legal. Someone else may correct me, but I believe as long as a shot is attempted a player can get their own air ball. The ref would have to adjudge it to be a shot. But yes, you can rebound your own air ball. |

Someone else may correct me, but I believe as long as a shot is attempted a player can get their own air ball. The ref would have to adjudge it to be a shot. But yes, you can rebound your own air ball. I thought if nobody else touched it, it was automatically passing to yourself and traveling. |

I’m pretty sure the NBA may be the only league that considers it an automatic travel. Although nothing else seems to be a travel anymore in the NBA. |

That was a bit ugly last night. Rataj is rounding into shape well and Lake continues to impress though. KC and Chol don’t always make it pretty and lack consistency, but still starting to look olike they can be a fairly productive and effective tandem.
The big negative with this team is bench/depth. It’s not like the first 5 or 6 are all-stars, so to have very little on the bench takes its toll. As much as I’m not a big Akanno fan, they really missed him. At one point about midway in first half they had lineup that included Chol, Ndong, and Rochelin out there. Not sure who other two were — maybe Rataj and Wright. Talk about a punchless lineup. Not sure it scored, and thankfully didn’t last long. To further emphasize the problem. Lake was the only guy off the bench that had more points than combined fouls and turnovers. I think Rochelin has only done it twice this season.
But, hey, they got the win, which is better than a loss. Hopefully Akanno doesn’t miss more time.

An exercise in patience is what watching that game felt like. Between the Beavs and the Blazers, there just isn't much shooting on either of my teams this winter and that's rough because the game is now dependent on it.

Not sure what you mean by “playing for the portal.” If you mean we’ll likely see players enter the portal, that is certainly possible. But if you mean players are just playing for themselves and not as a team, I haven’t seen that at least as of yet. At least 2 or 3 of the 10 turnovers you mentioned were because of bad interior passing. I’d argue wouldn’t see those passes attempted if only playing for yourself. This isn’t the team from 2 years ago. They’re playing much harder and less selfishly than that team so far. They’re just not very good. |

This is the best Chol's looked as a Beaver. He only scored 2 points (took 2 shots) but he had 6 rebounds and had 3 blocked shots. He only got credit for 2 but he had at least 3. He also changed some shots and flat out intimidated CP players from shooting in the paint. That's what a shot blocker does.
