Bruins looking poor tonight. Could Chip get the axe? After last week it was said big boosters and a electric recruiting class had him safe. But?? Scoring just 7 vs Cal's D and poor offense & QB play with one great D is so weird for a Chip coached team. If fired, I'd be regretting taking the MSU job if I was JS. No idea if he'd be considered by the elitists, but much better job. |

Tracy Person who has run the Bruin board forever says he can't remember a more negative time in UCLA football.
The fans want Chip gone and so do most of the administrators. Sounds like it is a matter of will the boosters get it done.

If so, UCLA will be contacting Smith's agent. There's obviously a buyout clause in the new contract. Is it even signed yet? We know now Smith would leave. Of course that fact may may make UCLA pause. It would be ironic if Smith is more hated in Corvallis and East Lansing than Kiffin is in Knoxville
