Barnes and friends need to go after every $$ of the P12 - those that left need to get nothing... smith leaving is a direct result of the P12 folding and clear damages have occurred...
If they don't go after every cent, Barnes and friends don't have a brain amongst them...
venting...

venting... I think Barnes should look into suing Smith and his agent. Maybe even Michigan State and there conference as a part of this to block rebuilding the pac. Maybe this was all in the grand works months ago. If they say you could indict a ham sandwich find something to indict Smith on. A scandal, theft, damages, conspiracy against OSU, Anything goes.
Now you say Barnes won't have a brain. Well can't argue that but don't know at this point. Venting too....

The former football coach decided to leave his contract - and there are terms in the contract that say if he does so it will cost him $3M. So he's doing it by the contract. On what basis do you sue? The "scandal" started years ago, back when the lighter fluid was igniting in our program's dumpster and when tennis guy was bilking the P12 presidents.

If they don't go after every cent, Barnes and friends don't have a brain amongst them... venting... The need to taste blood is there for sure. But in the end.. I sat through this from a corporate perspective and the company that did harm was liable by contract. My company could have gone after them, but in the end, it is a math problem. How much in resources (time, effort, passion, finances) are you going to need to commit to prevail? And what will the net result be? Is it worth it? Most of the time, the answer is no. I suspect that will be the case for Barnes and Co as well. They know they've been done dirty but the reality is you can't even really say anything about it because they've got deeper pockets, they (the media corporations) have the microphone, and you're only going to come away as bitter and maybe overall worse off than playing the game and earning a place back at the table. See the thing is, when OSU starts to win some games again some day, there will be a narrative that is spun with those broadcasts. If OSU/WSU has made enemies of these people, that narrative won't paint them in a light that gets them on more tv sets. Ultimately, it's cutting off your nose to spite your face. There's just no way to win this one.

I think we're all in at this point, we're paying others to do the leg work and the cost incurred just comes out of the 10's 2023-2024 cut of $$ and I don't really care if we make enemies of the 10 and I think allot more college football fans are rooting for us rather than against us...

If the pac 2 lawyers can make a great case on why the money (or large portion of the money) should stay with the pac 2 then keep the money and let them try. Molon Labe
