Buffs corner beaten off the line of scrimmage and in chase mode. Receiver tries to adjust to under throw ball, corner goes through receiver without looking back. Flags fly, refs go into conference. Flag are picked up and ruling “ the interference was unintentional so no foul on the play”. Now interference is subject to intent ?

Insane. This would open up a whole new avenue for pass defenders.

I'm not shocked officiating will continue to decline as the PAC crumbles .

You are not supposed to be flagged, if your interference is unintentional, like if the players' legs get tangled or something. I would really have to see the play. If the player was like trying to cover someone else and accidentally ran through a second receiver, that should usually not be a flag.

I did not see the play, either, but there is obviously a LOT of pass interference that is unintentional, such as impeding the receiver from making a play on the ball, as seems to be the case as described. I definitely agree that there are certainly instances of unintentional contact that should NOT be called, as you described. PI is a tough foul to decide on in real time.
