Casey almost certainly would have no interest in such a move. But the Kliavjerkoff train needs to be sidetracked and a capable, widely respected leader put in his place until this shakes out. At this moment we need someone who can honestly focus on rebuilding the conference around OSU and WSU. I don’t think G Kjk can be trusted to lead that initiative.

Oliver Luck could slide in from his consulting role.

Why not Bill Walton?

Haven’t the last two guys ran the conference like they’re stoned?

Oliver Luck could slide in from his consulting role. Wasn't he more involved when Stanford/Cal were still potentially going to be around. I'm not sure I would want Luck (who was brought on by Stanford) still a part of a new PAC.

Haven’t the last two guys ran the conference like they’re stoned? More like strung out. Stoners get a bad rap, and are mostly ethical, productive members of society. Case in point, Bill Walton. Tweekers on the other hand...

He has huge Stanford ties though.

He would be good as interim if needed. He is still working for them from what I have read. Luck was a candidate for commissioner but K was hired. Luck would have kept this mess from happening.

Walton would perhaps insist that he be paid at a rate of 10 cents per spoken word, with a 5 cent bonus for any words that actually made sense or were relevant.
Where we gonna come up with that kind of money?

Where we gonna come up with that kind of money? I think he would accept a couple really good road bikes and a top-of-the-line Barcalounger in lieu of cash payments

Has he been a good consultant because we've managed to get this far or has he failed because we haven't been able to secure a new conference invite? Or is it something in between? I know he has the Stanford ties. I wonder why OSU and WSU agreed to retain him in that case. I think if the universities are pleased with his work so far, it would be most natural to have him step in when we get rid of George.

Not sure OSU and WSU want a conference invite until Aug 2024 when ALL the traitors are gone. To the remaining go the spoils!!

Looking at his Wiki page, he's got a lot of football management background at the college and NCAA level and beyond. What really stands out is he initiated beer sales in stadiums at WVU.

I think that keeping California and Stanford may have been part of the reason that Luck was hired. However, Oliver Luck was instrumental in West Virginia, of all places, to get a Big 12 invite. Maybe, Oregon State and Wazzu are trying to get into the Big 12, as well. Oliver Luck was a higher-up in the NCAA and was on the first CFP Committee in 2014, so he has a bunch of ties to a bunch of people. He also was the CEO and Commissioner of the XFL, which was set to kick off in 2020, but went bankrupt, because of COVID-19.
