Does the team finishing 9th mean only Kaylee and Grace will go to nationals?

Finished 9th as a team.
Places 1-3-52-85-89-107-116
So big drop off from our top 2 athletes.

That's a poor showing. Top two qualify. Then 15 at large team qualifiers from across the country. Maybe we feel we have the berth secured? I think NCAA takes body of work

From what I've read, 13 at-large teams will be selected for the National Championship. There are 18 automatic qualifiers, so I'd say it's possible. We have been ranked as high as #9, but I think were at about #17 at last check. Grace and Kaylee ran their best race times ever, but the rest of the team fell off from their PBs by anywhere from about 10- to 45-sec. They're a young group so it could be nerves The South Regional has some amazing times with Parker Valby breaking 18 minutes to win (Kaylee ran 19:05) and the top 11 runners breaking 19 minutes. None of the other regions came close to our West Regional times, let alone the South Regional. Diffent courses and weather to really compare, but it seems we might have a good shot at Nationals.
