Today is the first day players can sign LOIs. As far as I am aware OSU is not signing anyone and does not have any commits. Looking at the ESPN top 100 only 14 are uncommitted, and some of them may be committed but not listed as such. I know there is also a late signing period as well, but most of the best players sign in November. Should we be concerned?

"Should we be concerned?" The short answer: Yes. The long answer: Absolutely Yes. GO BEAVS!! Keep in mind, we lose nobody off of the roster. However, I would of tried to bring in at least one, if not two girls because when it looks like we're playing a Mt West schedule next year, keeping Reagan, Timea and Dono might be a major challenge.

The collapse of the pac 12 and uncertainty of where OSU and WSU will land is really going to screw up recruiting. I hope we don't lose anyone of our current roster for next year but I wouldn't bet on it.

It is going to be more and more common for players who prove themselves at one location to transfer to another for a bigger NIL deal. For example, Haley Van Lith was a very good player for a really good Louisville program transferred to the defending national champs LSU, I am assuming for the chance to play for a natty and make more money. My concern is that when OSU has a top-level player another program who plays on larger stage with more financial resources is going to come calling.
Graves said in an interview recently that people would be surprised how much the top recruits and players are making in NIL. Someone like Catlin Clark is likely making millions, but he said it is not uncommon for top recruits/players to be making 6 digits at certain locations. Any guesses on how competitive OSU is in the NIL world?

Do you read the men's basketball board? The short answer is poorly. But we did find some cash to keep Pope here this year. The WSU men's coach said $1M to $1.5M is needed to be competitive in our conference. Who knows what the future is like?

Concerning NIL money, and the players who receive it. I'm asking these questions in the hope that some of you who follow this more closely will chime in.
1. Has any player actually said, for the record, I'm receiving $100,000 per year to play at whatever university? 2. Has anyone in charge of NIL "collective funds" ever gone on record indicating the amounts given to particular players? 3. Since NIL is taxable income has any accountant gone on record as saying "my client earned, etc. etc." 4. Have any parents gone on record to say "My daughter receives......" --------------------------------------- I'm asking these questions because I believe the general storyline we all have read about certain schools paying a lot of money to particular athletes. What I have never seen is "evidence" of the practical variety.
In a nutshell, is anyone on record, anywhere, indicating how much NIL money is given to specific players? Locally, for example, what is running back Martinez receiving in NIL?
Appreciate hearing from those who know. Thanks. GO BEAVS!!
