12 days, 1 game, 5 hikes, 5 breweries, way too many french fries, 7 pound weight gain.
Back to the diet. I'm slowing down, when I was a younger man I used to put on 11-13 pounds on 10-12 day trips.

If your baseline is 150 it's one thing..if it's 350 it's another thing all together. Carbs suck, but damn I like eating them,..

When I was 19/20, disco was in full swing and I weighed about 165 and could swing 9-11 pounds on a weekend. 15-20 years ago I was 50-60 lbs heavier and could swing 10-13 pounds in 7-12 days. The last couple years my baseline was 244 +/- 7 pounds. Got it down to 208 before the trip, probably will be back there in 7-10 days just shutting off carbs.. 70-80% of that'll be water weight. Shooting for 185 pounds and some routine exercise habits. I have always found it very very easy to not exercise, I probably walked more total miles "for excercise" on this trip than I have walked "for exercise" in a couple different decades of my life. Getting old is interesting.

Getting old is interesting. Getting old is the worst. I realize that my joints are a lot happier when I'm carrying around less weight. Intermittent fasting has been amazing for me personally.
