Lake was a steal walking on…..Our guards look like they can play, not so sure about the bigs. Will be interested when we play teams with similar size.
Agreed on Lake. Of course being that he walked on, one would have to assume he didn’t have much in the way of D1 offers — and that could very well be because he lacks some athleticism. That won’t show up against a Linfield. But he plays composed, understands angles, and gets to the right spots to make plays for himself or others. In other words, he’s a basketball player.
Agree on bigs too. Ideally Ibekwe would only play 10-15 mpg and Chol 5-8. Unfortunately, Beavs don’t have that luxury. And WT likes bigs for his D. Hopefully they’re a net positive or a push over course of season.
Some interesting numbers. Should w be concerned that all Wright could muster in 30 minutes against these guys was 6-2-2?
I only saw first half but I liked how active he was overall and especially on D. Don’t know that we can expect big numbers from him, but if he continues to play like I saw him in first half I think he’ll be one of those kind of players where we’re better with him on the floor.
