that Young went before Stroud. Still am. Tampa Bay’s ENTIRE coaching staff should be s%#t-canned after this loss.

that Young went before Stroud. Still am. I was surprised by a lot of the QB draft decisions in the 2023 NFL draft. I certainly didn't believe that the talent level of the top QBs warranted 3 going in the first 4 picks, and I was convinced that Young's size would scare off anyone from taking him in the top 5. It was funny that even just a few weeks before the draft, there were still pundits that had 2nd round QB Will Levis as a potential #1 overall pick. In the 2024 draft, there are at least 5 teams that obviously have a QB need, and, if some teams want to give up on their current situation, could be up to 10 (and if other teams weren't hamstrung by huge albatross QB contracts, could even be more).

that Young went before Stroud. Still am. I was due to size. Not talent. Young is very talented, but the Panthers are really bad. Texans are mediocre and Stroud is pretty good. The big difference is the Texans actually have several viable pass catchers. Panthers have the shambling corpse of Adam Theilan. I think Stroud is in a better situation than Young, and is being used to his strengths more. It is particularly impressive with Stroud because they have about the worse rushing game in the NFL right now.

Fortunate for those teams it will be great QB draft. The math have flipped and it can be worth it now to stick around another year if you aren't a lock for the first 3 rounds now, maybe even first two rounds.

Nix is an enigma to me. Above-average athlete, seems like a good team guy, mature, but his high completion percentage and yardage (to me) seem like a by-product of short, easy passes combined with huge YAC, and hitting wide-open receivers. I would love to see a spray chart but it feels to me that almost 3/4 of his throws are quick outs to wide receivers within 2-3 yards of the LOS.
That won't happen in the NFL. You have to consistently put the ball in very tight windows, with authority or deft touch, and be able to throw 30-40 yards down the field. I certainly am not an NFL scout. But Penix has shown (to me) to be a much-more accomplished passer in all three phases.
Hartman had outstanding coaching at Wake Forest; every QB Dave Clawson has coached at every stop along his career showed massive improvement. Not sure he's getting the same level of coaching at Notre Dame.
The Georgia guy is a big step down from Bennett, who was a CFL-level QB blessed with superior talent to play with. Is he even on an NFL practice squad?

Just read an article that stated Stroud didn't do as well as Young, Levis or Richardson on what's called an S2 test (ability to process information quickly). His response was, 'I'm not a test taker, I play football.'
Love it

Is he even on an NFL practice squad? I've heard announcers talk about players having Heisman moments. Not sure Nix has had any (of course I don't spend a fraction of a second watching him If he wins it will most likely be on sheer volume. He reminds me of Taysom Hill for the Saints. Sound football player for sure.

Lol the Georgia guy is already moving up draft boards, and through 9 games has thrown for more yards, higher completion %, and more TDs, than Bennett did in his first 9 games of 2022, his second year starting. He's thrown for 7 yards less than Nix this year. He also has a cannon compared to Stetson...and most other QBs in this draft.

Bennett was a fourth-round pick, hasn't played a down, injured all year, will probably never be anything more than a 3rd-stringer or practice squad QB. Beck is projected as a fourth-round pick. I guess we'll see. Given how easy Georgia's schedule was this year, he's harder to evaluate because he really hasn't played against anyone.
