So you have no personal interactions and agree with only the part of your family that fits your personal narrative? Checking for a friend Tell “your friend,” that’s affirmative. Also, at my age 66, I’m certain I can spot a POS when I see one. See: Discernment. Ten-fo.

One in PDX with Pete Newell and Jack Avina. He agreed with that quote.

No amount of wins can justify the way he treated guys who played on teams he coached. He saw them as his players on his teams, makes it a lot easier to treat them like s%#t. I wouldn't want my sons to play for him.

Last coach to lead a men's basketball team through an entire season without a loss. The one before that was John Wooden, preceded by John wooden, then John Wooden, and, finally, John Wooden. The difference between the two as human beings was (k)night and day.

A MONUMENTALLY egotistical and abusive ass hole, and all around POS. A winning basketball coach, though. 🥹 THAT’S the important thing, I guess. POS seems a little harsh. Um, are you all talking about this guy? “Is investigated by university after former player Neil Reed says Knight choked him at a practice in 1997. A videotape of the practice appears to support Reed. Reports surface of other confrontations. In one, Knight throws a vase at a university secretary. In another, Knight's son Tim suffered a dislocated shoulder and a broken nose during a scuffle with his father during a hunting trip. In another, Knight attacked and knocked out an Indiana sports information director in the '70s.” www.chron.com/sports/college-basketball-men/article/List-of-incidents-involving-Bob-Knight-1849372.phpPOS is not harsh at all, in fact it is too nice of a term for someone who abused his son, players, employees, women, strangers… this list goes on with this guy.

I’m not a fan of the guy at all. He clearly had MASSIVE insecurities which he took out on others who he was in a position of authority over. His impressive W/L record doesn’t absolve him of those abuses. That said, POS (piece of sh!t) is a pretty dehumanizing description and, to my mind at least, Knight’s sins and weaknesses were all too human. The worst I can say of him was that despite being a successful coach and motivator to many, his reputation as a cowardly bully was well-earned.
