Here are the filings from last night. Pac 12 wants out of the case. UW asks again for dismissal (or stay). bit.ly/3MlN71n

Does it matter that OSU and WSU tried to "get out" of the conference? I'm sure we explored our options, which were slim to nothing. Sounds like they're playing Thought Police.

I didn't read this round of docs yet. What is the proof that OSU and WSU were trying to get out of the conference before everybody left? That's the first time I've heard that.

Seems to be a little unrealistic that OSU and WAZU wanted out before the others. No other power conference wanted them, so where were they going to go? I don't think they were looking to go to a group of five conference.

I don't think they were looking to go to a group of five conference. The "proof" is an interview Barnes gave around August 17, 2023, after 8 of 12 announced they were leaving. In the article Barnes said he attempted to insert OSU in discussions with every potential conference. It suggests Barnes was working on an exit before Oregon/UW/ASU/UA and Utah bailed.

Barnes wouldn't be doing his job if he didn't try to join a power conference after the other teams bailed

It's a nonfactor in this case.

It's one thing, as the seams start coming apart, to explore other options - far different than publishing announcements of your new home in a different league. One's a survival move, the other is a dick move, respectively.
