Win or lose, what a massive choke job. And they win the toss and take the ball. Crazy. They did the same thing in the Colorado State OT game. You would think that Deion - I assume the only NCAA coach to have played MLB baseball - would understand that it's advantageous to be on offense in the bottom half of the inning.

Just as an example of MLB assistants, though, Bill Spiers was a punter at Clemson but was an All-American in baseball and was selected #13 overall in the 1987 MLB Draft and went on to have a 13-year MLB career. He is now the Director of Special Teams at Clemson. Bill Spiers has a son, who was the punter for Clemson from 2017-2021. Spiers' daughter, Ashley, also works for the Clemson football team, as Dabo's Executive Assistant. And his other daughter, Mary, is married to Dabo's son, the receiver.
