From what I remember he and Jimmy Anderson had a falling out midway through Jimmy’s run as head coach and abruptly left the coaching staff. I hope that he stayed connected with OSU in the subsequent decades. RIP

Thanks for posting the Eggers article - so much to unpack in that! Something I love about Eggers is the density of his material. Reminds me how "fluffy" a lot of our other sports journalists actually are in comparison. There is also a prescient aspect to the article - the "free stuff" everyone else was getting, even back in the day before NIL. And how OSU wasn't about that, even back in the day.....I won't provide a quote because everyone deserves to read the entire article. Go Beavers! |
