I can't imagine any way that this could possibly fly in light of the legal precedent set when USC and UCLA being kicked off the board.

"If the Court grants WSU and OSU the relief they seek, WSU and OSU would be able to make decisions by fiat through the Conference Board that would affect each of the indispensable [departing] institutions that cannot be joined [to the lawsuit], hundreds of millions of dollars in the schools' revenue and liabilities, and the current and future experiences of their student-athletes," UW's motion states. "This would have far-reaching consequences."
They must be joking. Like leaving the conference doesn’t have far reaching consequences? There are only consequences if it affects them, apparently. We REALLY need to consider never playing them again…The only way is if it’s home and home for football only because we are desperate for money…all other sports…eff them!

So they are standing on procedural issues rather than attacking the merits of the case. Seems like a weak attempt. Here comes discovery bitches

The things people need to say for money. LOL
I sort of feel for them. I know that they probably already had it penciled into their budgets before this whole crap took place and they never imagined OSU and WSU would be left holding the goody jar. They left intending for the Pac 12 to die and in its death, collect the funds that they had earned.
BUT they figured wrong.
And just laugh at Stanford and Cal prostituting themselves out in order to find a conference when they could've just held the course and enjoyed some of the profits.

And the damages their actions have had on their fellow in-state school? They are not just worried about what they're losing. They are going scorched earth in the process.

Washington is going to do the nasty bidding for the Pac-10. Why you ask they are the lead dog?

This. I have been saying all along that their financial situation is what is driving this. So - the rich, spoiled kids on the block have to go and buy the car they cannot afford, while we slowly restore our car, out of mostly donations and sensible financing. And now, when they can't afford the payments on the Mercedes they had to have, they want the rest of the group to help them pay for it. Hey Washington! Hey Oregon! GFY, then die!

I hope to all that is good OSU/WSU have pit bulls for attorneys, and are willing to stand their ground. Only an idiot would believe that because they haven't given written notice, they are still in the conference, or have legal access to it. Since they are playing in the conference this year, I could see an argument for monies earned and paid out this year - but that is it. If the normal payouts are after August 1st of next year for this year - go pound sand. Members of record only, receive payouts when monies are paid.

And Oregon says they are self sufficient. They must be running a higher debt than the dawgs. Who is going to pay for that new practice facility, btw. Student funds I am guessing. We would not do that.
