Why doesnt Winer or any media mention going to the big 12? Seems odd it’s not even something we can discuss…

Why doesnt Winer or any media mention going to the big 12? Seems odd it’s not even something we can discuss… And, what discussion could Wilner have if there isn't anything on the table or discussions being had? There is no mention as there is no chance for it to happen as of right now. If there was ANY smoke a guy like Wilner would be all over it. All the rest of the pod casts, etc are just click bait. If there is every a tiny crack in that door Wilner might be the first to find out. |

Wilner is just gossip like all the rest. Zags are hoops only... far different scenario. Wilner is one of the most looped in west coast writers. Does he print opinion and "gossip"? Sure. But, he is very in tune with the inner workings. Try actually reading some of his in depth work. He never pretends to be right all the time. LOL... so you state why isn't Wilner writing about it. The you say he's "just gossip like all the rest." So then why do you care if he hasn't chimed in? Is anything possible? Sure. But why write on what is not currently happening. There is unlimited topics to expound on if your criteria is writing on whatever is possible. |

Seems odd it’s not even something we can discuss… If The Big 12 isn't interested in OSU and WSU, and OSU and WSU are interested in bringing in the top G5 teams or working with the full MWC, why write about a possible Big 12 deal that none of the actual parties are interested in? There's some fans who want it, and basically 1 podcaster that we know of with a theory, and that's about it. Not real news. |

He's not mentioning going to the Big 12 because no one with any legitimacy is saying it has a chance in hell of happening, at this moment. And the WCC will never allow Gonzaga to remain in the conference without basketball. It's all or nothing to the Big 12. And really (IMHO) a pretty stupid idea for Gonzaga. Greatly inflate your travel costs for every sport, while not really improving your profile. Gonzaga is already a national power with national name recognition. And the story is paywalled. |
