BG is honorary team captain tonight... might get the nod in case of "break glass" moment. BG goes from starter last year, 7-1 and some good wins to 3rd string and an insulting, kick in the nuts “honorary” captaincy. Nice consolation. Hope it didn’t ruin the game for you. |

Just read on a utah message board that their qb Barnes that was leveled by Rawls (and it wasn't targeting) is in the hospital. Believe the injury happened on the second targeting call, when he got hit late in the ribs. |

Whatever. The beavers lost to Utah State a couple years ago. They’re still not that good. WTF does a loss two years ago have to do with this year's team? Absolutely f%#*ing nothing. WTF does it matter if Utah's plane was two hours late ON THURSDAY? The game was Friday night. The Pac-12 has refs so top-notch that a back judge can call a defensive holding that allegedly occurred in the middle of the field from 30 yards away on the far sideline, while three other officials closer to the ball saw nothing. We had one penalty at halftime and did not alter our playing style, but had 10 penalties in the second half. With a 21-0 lead in the fourth quarter our concern isn't Utah. It's the freaking clock. RTGDB, burn 2-3 minutes every possession, if you don't get a first down punt the ball and make them drive 80 yards, something they were completely incapable of doing. DJ's pick was awful but why was he even thinking about throwing the ball. Utah allowed 11 points to Florida, 13 at Baylor, and seven apiece against Weber and UCLA. Their defense is legit. And we dominated them. 😂 Feel better after a good rant and 8 hours of sleep? |

The Beavs' got their identity back. Real rough and tough football.
Last week, I can barely remember any 3rd down situations for WSU, but this week, Utah was up against the chainsaw all night long. Pretty remarkable difference!
Way to go Beavs! Way to bounce back!

Just read on a utah message board that their qb Barnes that was leveled by Rawls (and it wasn't targeting) is in the hospital. Believe the injury happened on the second targeting call, when he got hit late in the ribs. You are correct. That was a penalty and I have no issue with Hart getting tossed. But Rawls ejection wasn't correct. |

You are correct. That was a penalty and I have no issue with Hart getting tossed. But Rawls ejection wasn't correct. More concerned by the lack of a targeting call on the Utes player. Did anyone here an explanation for that? Seemed like a kindergartner could make that call. Never heard one but the only justification I know of is that the runner dropped their helmet first. Not sure why that matters when you nail the ear hole of the runner with the crown of your helmet but the refs were busy trying to save Utahs narrative at that point. |

Barnes is a walk on that just earned a schollie and now he's likely out. Johnson got hit alot and by the end it looked like his hip or knee was having issues. I think Johnson was literally their only QB on the roster after Barnes got hurt. |

I was really impressed with how well the defense played without Rawls after that bad targeting call. I was worried he's an amazing center and Utah's only real offense was the run. The team really is a lot deeper than in decades/years past.
