For all of you that were wrong about Deion and CU, you're forgiven. For all of you that think losing to the ducks on Saturday will end this, not happening. With that said, here we go: The Colorado Buffaloes will probably lose on Saturday by 20 points, but will it matter? Deion Sanders has captured all of college football. CU is undefeated and the Buffs are puttin up outrageous TV ratings every game. Last weekend, Colorado set records for ESPN. Mind you, this was CU (who won 1 game last year) versus Colorado State in the late night window. ESPN announced the game averaged a staggering 9.3 million viewers and peaked with 11.1 million viewers in the first 15 minutes of the 8pm hour. The numbers make it the most-watched late prime window game in the history of ESPN, and the fifth most-watched game in network history. This is a game that ended at 2:15am on the east coast. What will the numbers look like this Saturday as the Buffs take on the Ducks? 12 million? 15 million? When a coach has ESPN Gameday and FOX Big Noon Kickoff alternating every other week, it creates new rules. Deion + new rules = the unknown. Prime is polarizing. Probably half the viewers are watching hoping CU loses, but again, does it matter? As the demand for Deion grows, Colorado finds itself in the enviable position of trying to keep him. Can they match coaching contract money? What about NIL and recruiting territory? Boulder, CO isn't the easiest place to get to for recruits, girlfriends and family. Sanders says he won't coach in the NFL and I believe Deion will be at CU for 2 more years, after that, what's stopping Texas A&M from offering him $15M a year to bring Prime to College Station? This is a crazy football season with Deion leading the way.

His response (as well as Tucker's response) to the late hit was genuinely magnanimous. Colorado is headed for a reality check, but I think Deion is a much more serious man that I may have given him credit for at the outset of this season.

Agree. I think a reality check is only a speed bump for Prime. He can take a hit.

Sanders is a self-hyped jackass in an oversized hat and sunglasses. And, as CSU demonstrated, Colorado is NOT a particularly good squad. Their QB is, however, for real. I'll be surprised if Colorado wins more than 2-3 conference games.

What kind of recruiting class and transfer class does Prime have in store for the college football world in 2024? It's likely to be top 20 in both recruiting class and transfer class. Both of his sons will likely return and so will Travis Hunter. The 2024 schedule will be much easier. CU and the Big12 smile.

I think they lose by 3 touchdowns to Oregon, and agree that they may well struggle the rest of the way. Any event, this is all good by me. Even if he struggles the media attention will persist. And any media attention that deflects focus from the BIG, SEC, is a plus. Helps the Big12.

When they start losing, the hype will subside a bit. It will be difficult for the FOX cheerleaders to spin 20- and 30-point losses, if it comes to that, which it will against UO and USC.
Colorado will be light-years ahead of where it was last year, even if it finishes 4-8 or 5-7.
And they are fun to watch. His kid is good. But they still were physically dominated by a CSU team that lost to WSU by about 30 points.

The persona he projects on TV and social media and the man himself. The “prime time” Deion is P. T. Barnum, a carnival barker and showman , that’s a side I can do without. When they catch him out of character, he seems like an intelligent, passionate coach who cares about his guys. Either way he will be in the SEC or Big 12 in two years
