Oil money This is what has me thinking buyouts aren't necessarily a deal killer for rebuilding the PAC. A lot of schools won't have SMU money, but some money is out there for a lot of schools. The AAC has several schools that are paying their buyouts over several years. I think a couple negotiated 10-14 year paybacks.

SMU raised 100 million dollars in 7 days from only 30 donors to help with their transition to the ACC. Oil money Cool, it got them into a new league, but it's essentially wasted. No long-term capital improvements. No program enhancement. No endowments. It just funds operational costs, essentially just keeping the lights on.
