You answered your own question. It’s because the OSU game was on Sunday. Would not have had that following on Saturday and it drew Bay Area viewers. |

Obviously, Sundays don't normally work because of NFL, but I think the underlying point is a good one.
If we end up in a cobbled together PAC/Mountain/AAC then it would probably be a good idea to feature games at a time other than Saturdays each week. If not several games a week. Play Thursday and Friday nights and draw the eyeballs since it's not competing with everyone else.
