Lawsuits will tie up this money for a while is my first guess.... but if for some reason it does not, depending on the price, it might be good to pull some good teams into the conference by allocating buy out funds or using some to supplement the lower TV deal until the conference gets rolling. Even then I believe the bylaws say it goes to the conference and there are strings attached limiting individual schools from spend it anyway they want to. |

There are expenses, money that must be set aside for operating capital, etc., but the vast majority of the money goes to the schools to do what they want with it. |
