It seems the options continue to fizzle for us in droves. I was not a fan of joining the AAC except to maybe grab some key teams into the Pac.

Best news we've received all day.
Beaver fan 1: "I can't believe Oregon, Washington, USC, Cal, UCLA and Stanford will go halfway or clear across the country to play their games! That's crazy!"
Beaver fan 2: "Yeah, let's merge with the AAC, and play in Virginia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Maryland, Alabama, Texas and Kansas!"

Looks like posting on the right board is not an option for you.

The AAC can just pick through the leftovers of the ACC when it implodes and the SEC/Big Ten/Big 12 take what they want. It would have been cool to have a coast to coast conference with OSU/WSU/some or all of the MWC in the West and AAC/ACC leftovers in the East. And again, you don't have a travel issue because the vast majority of it stays in each area, with the exception of tournaments and championship games. But that takes some risk and forward thinking and nobody seems to be up to that.

Beaver fan 1: "We would never leave the conference future hanging for the other teams!" "We are wholesome in this regard"
Beaver fan 2: "Yeah, it's everyone for themselves" "We would do the same if roles were reversed"

So, we talk with FSU and Clemson, find out who all the best teams in the country regionally who dislike their current conference situation are and get them on board... and create a coast to coast Super-conference. We could even take a smaller cut of whatever huge $$ media deal that results. Easy peasy.

Did he really say “leading FBS conference”? 🤣 The AAC has been the sixth-best football conference, seventh-best basketball conference, and around eight-best baseball conference.

Hopefully and more likely the P2 let them know it was not an option. They post to save face.

Hopefully and more likely the P2 let them know it was not an option. They post to save face. I am sure they were told it wasn't going to happen. Travel wise it would have been tough. A few trips east isn't bad but having to travel east a lot is a deal breaker. Have fun Stanford and Cal.
