Softball players at programs leaving the Pac are not happy. How likely is it that similarly situated athletes in other sports transfer to the Pac 4? One reason I would prefer a merger with the Mountain West. Being the only western based conference, it seems like west coast athletes, especially outside of football, would flock to it. |

Finally a mention of athletes' reactions--more importantly, prospective athletes--of what playing in the new transcontinental commuter leagues really means.
Where have the voices and numbers of fans, alums, local businesspeople, parents and relatives, athletes, coaches (if they dare) opposing these moves been tallied and recorded?
Not that any of us matter in a world of media hegemony and oligarchic boardroom management.
